Saint Peter Chrysologus, whose name means "Golden Word," is remembered as one of the Church's greatest preachers. Born in the late fourth century, he became the Bishop of Ravenna, Italy, where he faithfully shepherded God's people through his inspiring sermons, holy example, and compassionate leadership. His life reminds us that the Word of God has the power to transform hearts when it is proclaimed with truth, humility, and love.

As a bishop, Saint Peter Chrysologus understood that preaching was not merely about speaking eloquently but about leading people to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
