Matthew 5:3 Gospel Mark 12:38-44 Today's readings present two beautiful examples of authentic discipleship: Saint Paul's faithful perseverance and the poor widow's complete trust in God. Together, they teach us that what matters most to God is not the size of our achievements or gifts, but the sincerity and devotion of our hearts. In the first reading from Second Epistle to Timothy, Saint Paul gives Timothy a solemn charge to proclaim the Word of God faithfully. Whether the message is welcomed or rejected, Timothy must continue preaching with patience, courage, and conviction. Paul recognizes that many people will prefer teachings that suit their desires rather than the truth of the Gospel.
