The Mercy That Knows No Measure Readings First Reading - Ezekiel 12:1-12, Responsorial Psalm- Psalm 78:56-59,61-62, Alleluia - Psalm 119:135, Gospel Reading - Matthew 18:21-19:1 Today's readings call us to recognize God's warnings, remain faithful to Him, and—above all—embrace the boundless mercy that Jesus asks us to extend to others. In the first reading (Ezekiel 12:1–12), God tells Ezekiel to perform a symbolic action before the people. He packs his belongings and prepares to leave as though going into exile. This dramatic sign represents what will happen to Jerusalem because of the people's continued rebellion against God. The people have eyes but refuse to see and ears but refuse to hear. Their hearts have become resistant to God's warnings. Ezekiel's actions are therefore a final invitation to recognize the seriousness of their situation and turn back to the Lord.
