God Desires Hearts That Are Truly Converted Readings Responsorial Psalm- Psalm 102: 16-23. 29 Alleluia - John 1:49 Gospel Reading - Matthew 15: 1-2. 10-14 First Reading - Jeremiah 30: 1-2. 12-15. 18-22 Today's readings remind us that although sin wounds us deeply, God's desire is always to heal, restore, and renew His people. True holiness is not found merely in observing external traditions but in having a heart that sincerely seeks God. In the first reading (Jeremiah 30:1–2, 12–15, 18–22), the Lord instructs Jeremiah to write down His words so that His people will remember His promises. God acknowledges that Israel's wounds are serious and are the result of her own sins and unfaithfulness. Yet judgment is not God's final word. He promises restoration, saying that He will rebuild the city, restore His people, and once again dwell among them.
